Hi, my name is m. e. and I am a bachelorette. I’m also a Bachelor, Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad fan. I’ve had this problem since the show premiered…I’m not sure how many years it’s been now. I watch faithfully. If you invite me to do something on a Monday know that I will not oblige. I will not lie or make up excuses, what’s the use? I would be found out if anyone wanted to investigate my lie since I tend to live Tweet during the show.
I’m not sure how that part of the addiction started, I suppose it culminated from a mixture of things; me living with my dog, Malcolm, and him not being able to say back to me; “I know, right?!” – not that he’d say that – because he’s a dude – but you get the point. Being on Twitter while the show is on allows me to have my craved alone time while still interacting with other special people who can’t wait for Monday to roll around.
In my defense – not that I need one – I am a social scientist by trade. The need to observe behaviors and social interactions is ingrained in my psyche. Therefore watching these shows allows me to hone my professional skills so that I am aptly able to apply them in real-world situations. BTW, no matter what Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory says, behavioral sciences is a reputable and necessary field. “Take that, take that.” ~ Diddy
Here’s proof that my Monday alibi’s would never hold up in “invitation court”:
